This event is a collaboration between Great Lakes Endurance and The Conserve School, who both share a passion for creating awareness of the natural environment. The race course travels along 7 wilderness lakes and includes elegant single track as well as wide grassy cross country ski trail. Nationally recognized as an environmentally focused private academy, the Conserve School provides students with a world class curriculum in the heart of Wisconsin's north woods. The school also features over 20 kilometers of cross country ski trails and 8 kilometers of sustainably built single track. The school has a large photovoltaic array, a "Green Machine" wastewater treatment facility, and a community organic garden.
