Known for its wild rivers, Florence County, Wisconsin all enjoys abundant winter snows that last well on into Spring. Based at the rustic Keyes Peak Ski Lodge the 5K & 10K snowshoe races will challenge the best snowshoe racers and provide a rewarding winter adventure for everyone.

Course Descriptions

All events start at the Keyes Peak Ski Lodge and feature 60% groomed trail and 40% packed single track. The course features remarkable vistas from atop Keyes Peak as well as winding and challenging forested single track.

No refunds or transfers. Once you are registered your entry fee is not refundable nor can you transfer your entry to another snowshoer. $25 charge for cancelled and NSF checks.

Registration & Packet Pick Up

Early registration is encouraged to help us plan for food & supplies; however participants may still register Sunday morning from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. at the Keyes Peak Ski Lodge. Pre-registered participants may also pick up their race materials at this time.

Snowshoes Rental

Lightweight Atlas snowshoes may be rented if reserved and paid for in advance during online registration. Cost is $15.


Overall male and female winners in the 10 Km will receive a pair of Atlas Snowshoes. Winners of the 5 Km will receive a Mountain Hardware Jacket. Local maple syrup, honey and Dagoba Organic Chocolate will be awarded to the top three in each age group for each race.
